A highly challenging residential project involving the construction of a new basement beneath an existing property situated within landscaped grounds incorporating a private lake. The unique site conditions required careful engineering to deliver the basement structure while protecting the surrounding environment and maintaining the stability of the adjacent water feature.
A permanent pontoon was constructed as part of the development, requiring close coordination between structural, civil engineering and waterproofing specialists. Extensive temporary works, groundwater management and carefully sequenced construction allowed the basement and associated external works to be completed safely within a technically demanding environment.
